Our Philosophy

At Beyond Nourished, it's believed that everyone deserves to nourish themselves in a way that supports their whole self - body, mind, and soul. Our approach is grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed, and weight-inclusive care, recognizing that our relationships with food, movement, and our bodies are often shaped by our lived experiences.

Our work together will move at your pace, prioritize your sense of safety, and honor your autonomy every step of the way. There is no one-size-fits-all path to healing, and you will be met where you are. Together, we’ll explore challenges related to food, movement, body image, and the ways these relationships may be affecting your life. Rather than relying on rigid rules or prescriptive plans, we’ll focus on building trust - with your body, your internal cues, and yourself.

Healing is rarely linear, and you don’t have to do it perfectly. With compassion, curiosity, and support, it is possible to reconnect with yourself and develop a more peaceful, flexible, and sustainable relationship with food and your body.

Meet your Dietitian

Hi! I'm Dakota, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. My goal is to help support you in building trust and reconnection with yourself.

As an eating disorder dietitian, I am aligned with a non-diet, weight inclusive and Health at Every Size® approach. I practice through a trauma-informed lens and recognize the impact past experiences may have on relationships with food and body image.

My approach is collaborative, person-based and rooted in compassion. My experience has taken me through nearly all levels of care, including residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and now to outpatient.

I truly believe recovery is possible and that you deserve to feel more at peace with yourself. I'm here to guide you in your unique journey and take steps toward a more nourishing and fulfilling life.
