Appointments are offered virtually through a HIPAA-compliant platform for clients residing in Connecticut and New York. We are also able to work with individuals in states where state-specific licensure is not required. Currently, these states include Arizona, California, Colorado, Michigan, New Jersey, and Virginia.
Appointments are highly individualized, however meeting on a weekly basis is typically recommended. Weekly appointments help establish rapport, create the foundation of our work together, and provide consistent support. Recovery is a non-linear process — support will be offered for as long as you need.
Absolutely! You don’t need a diagnosed eating disorder to benefit from support. Using a weight-inclusive, non-diet approach, we can work together on a variety of concerns related to your relationship with food, your body, and movement. Whether you’re experiencing food-related stress, body image concerns, or simply want to feel more comfortable and at ease in your relationship with food, you’re welcome here.
It depends. Meal plans or structured eating can be a very useful tool depending upon where one is in their recovery. If you are stepping down from a treatment center with a meal plan, you will be provided the option to continue that structure for consistency. Together, we will explore how to take steps towards more flexible eating as you learn to respond to your body's cues.
As a weight inclusive dietitian, weight loss won't be a focus of our work together or used as a measure of success. Together we will work through your lived experiences and how they have shaped your relationship with your body, and explore how to integrate health-promoting habits that will support your mind, body and soul long-term.
Yes—we can still work together if you’re currently taking a GLP-1 medication or considering transitioning off of one. Weight loss will not be the focus of our work however. Instead, we’ll focus on supporting your nutritional needs, helping you nourish your body, and navigating any changes or side effects you may experience while taking the medication. We’ll approach your care with compassion and without judgment, keeping your overall well-being at the center.
